| 010706 | Georgia Militia makes
choice whether to go with new patch, or old patch![]() Alamo Flag has ceased to sell the Georgia Patch shown on the left in the above picture reflecting the Georgia Flag properly adopted in 1956. Instead, they have come up with a new version of the currently improperly adopted Georgia Flag (less the "In GOD We Trust"...interesting, huh?). Last month, a vote was held by representatives of Georgia Militia's currently active local units, Divisions, etc., where all local units, Divisions, etc. decided to keep the patch on the left for their units/divisions, and when the currently available stock of the patch on the left was depleted, the Georgia Militia would investigate having a custom patch company manufacture more. Georgia Militia's future active local units, Divisions, etc., and even currently active local units, Divisions, etc., may still elect or switch to use the patch on the right for their Local Unit/Division uniforms if they so choose ~ either patch is acceptable provided the Commanding Officer for the local unit, Division, etc. has approved it after a proper vote by all members of their local unit, Division, etc. |
| 111305 | The Fall 2005
Georgia Militia Open House was probably the most successful open house
event to date! (looks like the Fall is the better time to hold these things...) The weather up there in the northwest corner of Georgia again ended-up being really nice (cloudy and cool), and the State Level meeting got started on time for a change! The parking lot was actually the fullest we've ever seen, luckily we still had some doughnuts and soda left over. Three attendees actually joined-up and became supporting members on the spot, with a few others promising to go back to their militia district and drum-up support for staring active local units. Attendees especially liked the various Georgia Militia uniforms which were displayed (the woodland camo BDU, the Garrison uniform, the 911th Squadron's new digital BDU, casual MGI polo shirt attire, etc.). Our usual show-and-tell also gathered intent interest (LBE patrol rig, the drop pack, various specialty bug-out-bags [rappeling, water crossing, ghille suit, etc.] and our 2005 Handbook). Then after some patriotic discussions and a computer video on the 911 event (so many questions!), the meeting as usual quickly adjourned to the gun range for some good hands-on training and practice. The next Georgia Militia Open House is planned for sometime in 2006 ~ and again, we will not reschedule it for that seems to be the main reason the attendees of this meeting gave for why they did not make the last meeting in the Spring. Check back as time for the meeting approaches for an exact date/time/directions. |

| 062605 | After rescheduling
at the last minute from April to May, after the terrible
rain storms in Georgia the day before and threats of rain
on the day of the Spring 2005 Georgia Militia Open House,
a few still managed to travel the great distance to the
northwest corner of Georgia and show up for the event.
The weather up there in the northwest corner of Georgia
ended-up being rather nice (cloudy and cool), and the
State Level meeting got started over an hour late
(holding out for the last few newbies to show-up), but a
good time was indeed had by all! After some patriotic
discussions and revelations, the meeting adjourned to the
gun range for some good hands-on training and practice. A Fall 2005 Georgia Militia Open House is planned for sometime in October 2005 to make-up for the not-so-good luck of the Spring meeting ~ we will not reschedule it, and the rain in the fall is usually not so much of a threat. Check back as time for the meeting approaches for an exact date/time/directions. |

Southern Party of Georgia does not recognize the March 2 rigged referendum as a legitimate voice of the citizens of
Georgia. It is in fact - a rigged referendum that was
established by secret backroom wheeling and dealing
between the Senate Republican leadership, the House
Democratic leadership, the Atlanta Chamber, politically
correct and black caucus. Let your voice be heard, come join us at the Capitol on March 3 at 10:00 AM. Come join us and send a message to the Legislature and Governor that rigged referendums will not be tolerated in Georgia.
