The Georgia Militia is constantly growing and looking for volunteers to assist us in expanding our common defense, preparedness, and disaster assistance programs to a state wide level. There are Georgia Militia members who have many years of experience in military organizations or have specialized professional training. No specialized training or military service is required to sign up and most new members join the Georgia Militia without prior militia experience. You will get the training and experience you need as an active member of the Georgia Militia. If you are age 18 or older (and as long as you do not have a prior obligation as a current member of the reserves, national guard, armed services, or any other form of the 'organized militia'), there are no other requirements.

Our nation has seen the face of disaster time and time again. Inevitably, be it tornado, hurricane, earthquake, power outage or civil unrest, the majority of American citizens have relied upon the help of the government to come and save them from catastrophe. Through networking, training and preparation, the Georgia Militia Network provides the skills and know-how necessary to survive the day that government help never comes.

With increasing temperatures, populations, storm intensity, natural disasters, inflation, unemployment and crime rates, coupled with socioeconomic national and international instability, it has become more necessary than ever to prepare oneself for the logical possibility of disaster

For those who have the gear (or are willing to get it) and the commitment, the time to join, train and prepare is now! The Militia of Georgia is recruiting members and our training sessions begin very soon. The basic qualifications for membership are initiative and commitment. You can show that you have what it takes by contacting us, joining the militia and making the training sessions. This is serious work for a serious time in our history.
